Instructions for product activation via internet and email
Applies to: MindManager Pro 7 (Build 7.2), 8
To activate MindManager you are requested to enter your license key on start up of MindManager. Please choose "Automatic, via internet" and follow the instructions.
You will need to have an active internet connection to use the Automatic activation method. If you received the error message during activation, 'the activation server failed generating the requested license',

this can be caused by your Firewall, Proxy, or VPN connection. If you are using a laptop within a corporate environment, you can often activate using the Automatic method by connecting to your home or third-party provided internet service. Once activated, the product will run in any environment.
Please follow the instructions below to manually activate the software:
- Open MindManager
- Click on 'Tools'>'Activate'

- Select the 3rd option 'Manual, via e-mail (allow 2-day turnaround) and click 'Next' to proceed

- Enter your MindManager product key and click 'Next' to proceed

- Click on 'Copy to clipboard'

- Open your email client and paste the clipboard into the email body (Ctrl+v)
- Send the email to activation@mindjet.com
Within 48 hours, we will send you a file through email with detailed instructions on how to manually activate the MindManager software.
Please note: you must use the file we send on the same machine used to make the request. If you use MindManager on a second machine, you must make a separate manual activation request on that machine.
