Export to Powerpoint: Unable to get text of current shape

Symptom: 

 

Using Export as Powerpoint slide results in error "unable to get text of current shape." 

 

Cause:  There is an issue when creating Powerpoint objects in Powerpoint 2003.

 

Resolution:

 

Currently some maps may experience this error when using the command Export as Powerpoint slide to Powerpoint 2003.  It can occur in maps after reaching a specific number of topics using some growth directions such as tree or split tree.  A fix for this issue is currently in queue for a future service pack.

 

As an alternative, users can simply add the MindManager map image to a slide.  This can be done by selecting the Central topic, choosing Edit-copy, then opening a slide in Powerpoint and choosing Paste - special - bitmap.  Another method to do this is to save the map as an image file from MindManager, then insert into the slide as a normal image file.
